Gary Orsborn, O.D., M.Sc., F.A.A.O. Dr. Gary Orsborn is Director of Medical Affairs, Global Vision Care at Bausch + Lomb in Rochester, New York. Gary received a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1983 and a Masters of Science in Physiological Optics in 1985 from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. Since joining Bausch + Lomb in 1985, he has worked in U.S., Latin America, and Europe divisions where his responsibilities have included management of field clinical studies of marketed and developmental contact lenses and care products, the development of practitioner educational materials, worldwide professional relations, and marketing of vision care products. Dr. Orsborn is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the British Contact Lens Association, American Optometric Association, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Srini Venkatesh is Vice President, Lens Care R&D at Bausch + Lomb, Rochester, NY. His team leads the efforts to discover, develop, and launch innovative global lens care products. In addition to project and R&D expense management, Srini collaborates closely with the business unit in shaping the lens care portfolio and seeking voice of customer feedback in designing novel products. Srini's team has responsibilities for generating claims for marketed products, for technical due diligence of external opportunities, and leveraging partnerships with academic collaborators. Previously, Srini was Director of Pharmaceutics at Bristol-Myers Squibb where he led a team towards drug discovery and development in multiple therapeutic areas. Srini received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Venkatesh has published, filed patents and given several scientific and business talks in the areas of product development and commercialization.
