Dry eye remains one of the most frequently encountered conditions in clinical practice. A systematic, thorough assessment of the tear film and ocular surface can highlight deficiencies in these areas and aid the practitioner in best predicting the cause of dry eye symptoms, and select the best treatment strategy.

Jennifer is the Senior Lecturer in Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Auckland. Qualifying as an Optometrist in 1992, in 1995 Jennifer was awarded a PhD entitled Tear Physiology in the Normal and Dry Eye. She has delivered continuing education lectures to Optometrists for many years, and research papers at numerous international scientific conferences. She has published her work in both the scientific and clinical press, and is co-author of the textbook, The Tear Film.

Successful completion of the multiple choice test is worth 2 CET points. This CET is approved for optometrists and contact lens opticians.
