Existing and emerging presbyopic patients account for well over 50% of the population but this is not reflected in sales of presbyopic products. Fitting presbyopic patients with contact lenses is highly rewarding. Patients are satisfied because they can see clearly for most of their activities and we as practitioners are satisfied because we can express our expertise. Presbyopic contact lens patients often have good social and business networks, so when they are successfully fitted they can be strong practice advocates.
